 J.P.E.M Statement of Faith

J.P.E.M Core Beliefs:

1. There is only One True God, Creator of heaven and earth and all therein.
2. Existence of the Holy Trinity –One true God manifested in three persons – God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
3. The Bible is the (only) true and divinely inspired Word of God
4. Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of God, born of the Virgin Mary and the only Saviour of the world. Christ came to redeem the sinful world, preaching, teaching, performing
miracles, signs, and wonders. He was crucified on the cross, died and rose again on the third day. Christ ascended to the heavenly throne and is seated at the right hand of the
Father, from where He intercedes for believers.
5. Salvation and Redemption come through Jesus Christ alone through Faith and by Grace.
6. Present day continuous existence of outworking of miracles, signs and wonders through Christ as stipulated in the Bible.
7. Indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit in the lives of all true believers, bestowing spiritual gifts for ministry.
8. Priesthood of all believers.
9. Existence of eternity after earthly death. At the Second Coming of Christ all those who died in Christ will resurrect to enjoy eternal life; those who remain in sin will receive
eternal damnation.
10. Requirement of Water Baptism of every believer by means of immersion as a symbol of death to sin and resurrection to New Life in Jesus Christ.
11. Partaking of Holy Communion as a symbolic remembrance of the body and blood of Christ on the Cross.
12. Marriage as a state of God-ordained Holy Matrimony, thus a marriage between a born-again man and a born-again woman who agree to be united in holy matrimony for life. We
believe there is no place for homosexuality, lesbianism, and gay partnerships in such a union.
