Pastor Dennis Murila

Pastor Dennis Murila was born in 1995 as the fifth son of Ernest Boyia and Pamela Boyia, hailing from Lirhanda village, Shinyalu Sub-County, Kakamega County. He attended St. Paul’s Shibuye Primary School through to Class 8, before joining Shagungu Secondary School from 2014 to 2017. During his high school years, he served as head student and Christian Union Chairperson, demonstrating his leadership and commitment to faith.

After completing his high school education, Dennis ventured into business, supplying Supa Loaf bread around Shinyalu Market in 2018. In 2019, he was hired as a teacher at a private school, where he served as an academic instructor. However, due to the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, he transitioned back to business and worked at Nitra Supermarket in Shinyalu as a line attendant, salesperson.

Dennis gave his life to Christ during a mega crusade organized by Jesus Power Evangelistic Mission in December 2016, held at Shinyalu Market. After his conversion, he became a member of Kings Highway Baptist Church-Shinyalu, where he was mentored and discipled. His spiritual journey led to his appointment as a youth leader from 2020 to 2023, and he currently serves as the church secretary.

Throughout his ministry, Pastor Dennis has been actively involved in evangelism and teaching the gospel, working passionately to spread God’s word in his community.

Pastor Dennis is married to Joan Tsisika, and together they are blessed with one child, Marvel Khitieyi Murila. They reside in Shinyalu, Kakamega County, continuing to serve and grow in their faith together.
