Pst. Mercy Nkatha

Pst. Mercy Nkatha

Pastor Mercy Nkatha was born on September 26, 1984, in Libutu Village, Muthaara Location, Meru County, to Christian parents Mr. Charles N’Golua and Mrs. Domenica Nyoroka. Both of her parents were members of the East African Pentecostal Church (EAPC), where she spent her early years growing in her faith. Later, she joined the Redeemed Gospel Church, where her spiritual journey deepened through discipleship. In this community, she served in the praise and intercession teams, and worked as a translator, further developing her skills in ministry.

In 2015, Nkatha experienced a strong call to ministry, a calling that was confirmed by her pastor. She responded to this divine invitation by enrolling at J.P.E.M school of Ministry, where she began her formal theological education. During her time at KHBC, she received mentorship from Apostolic Bishop Fred Indangasi and Rev. Eunice, both of whom played significant roles in her spiritual growth. In 2017, Bishop Indangasi officially confirmed her as a pastor, entrusting her with the responsibility of leading the women’s ministry, a role she continues to serve into this day.

Nkatha’s passion for ministry is particularly evident in her work with vulnerable women and children, as well as her involvement in mercy ministries. She has a heart for those in need, and her ministry reflects her commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those who are often marginalized and forgotten.

In terms of her education, Nkatha attended Luuma Primary School until 1998, when she completed her KCPE exams. She then went on to St. Joseph’s High School in Isiolo, where she completed her secondary education in 2003. After high school, she worked for Cassons Company in Nairobi for three years before returning home to marry her beloved husband, Mr. John Kaberia Muinde, in 2009.

Following their marriage, Nkatha and her husband moved to Mombasa, where he worked at Pikana. Later, the couple ventured into their own business, which they continue to run successfully to this day. Nkatha and her husband now reside in Mtwapa, Kenya, and are blessed with three children: Mwende, Dorcas, and Muthoni.

Pastor Mercy Nkatha’s journey is a powerful testimony of faith, commitment, and obedience to God’s call, as she continues to serve both her family and her community through her work in ministry and her dedication to empowering others.
