Rev. Dominic Mucangi Njiru
Rev. Dominic Mucangi Njiru was born in 1990 in Riakiiru (Gachuriri) village, Mbeere South, Embu County. He was introduced to the Catholic Church by his parents, Boniface Njiru Nthiga and Jacinta Wanjira (alias Wanjiru) Njiru, in 1994. Tragically, his mother, Jacinta, passed away in 1997, followed by the death of his father, Boniface, in 2000.
At the age of 11, in 2001, Dominic made the decision to join PEFA Church. Later, at 15, he transitioned to Kerith Gachuriri Christian Church, where his spiritual journey truly began. It was there that he gave his life to Christ and was baptized by immersion. During this period, Dominic actively engaged in evangelism across Embu and Kirinyaga counties, where many came to faith in Christ.
In 2014, Pastor Dominic married Ann Muthoni in a customary marriage. In 2015, Dominic was nstalled as the Pastor-in-Charge of Kerith Gachuriri Christian Church. Determined to grow in his calling, Pastor Dominic pursued formal theological education in 2016, enrolling at Nairobi Pentecostal Bible College.
In 2017, he graduated with a Certificate in Bible and Theology. The following year, in 2018, Dominic and Ann renewed their vows with a church wedding, receiving their marriage certificate. Together, they are blessed with two daughters: Blessing Murugi and Praise Gatugi.
In 2020, Pastor Dominic and Pastor Ann joined Kings Highway Baptist Church under the spiritual guidance of Apostolic Bishop Fred Indangasi.
Bishop Fred, a spiritual father to Pastor Ann, sent them to establish a new branch in Gachuriri, which was officially launched by the bishop. Pastor Dominic and Pastor Ann, along with their leadership team, opened two additional churches: Kakindu Kings Highway Baptist Church in 2023 and Kakawa Kings Highway Baptist Church in 2024, in collaboration. Pastor Dominic and his family remain committed to expanding the kingdom of God.
