Rev. Nicholas Juma Lusesi

Rev. Nicholas Juma Lusesi was born in 1983 in Malava village, Kakamega County, to a humble peasant father who worked as a farmhand in Cherang’any, Trans Nzoia County. Growing up, Pastor Nicholas spent most of his childhood with his siblings and mother in Malava. He completed his primary school education in 1998 at Malava Primary School. Shortly after, his family relocated to Kitale to join their father, and he went on to attend Sitatunga Secondary School, where he completed his studies in 2002.
In 2004, Pastor Nicholas joined Kenya Medical Training College and
pursued a course in medical rehabilitation, a path that promised to fulfill his dream of working in the medical field. However, despite graduating

in 2009, he struggled to find employment in the medical sector as
he had hoped. Instead, he took up various jobs in Nairobi, working on construction sites and later at a poultry and pig farm in Kajiado.

Frustrated by the challenges of life, Pastor Nicholas drifted away from his faith, searching for alternative ways to achieve wealth, even attempting to join cults. It was during one of these attempts, when he had set out for Zanzibar, that he ended up in Mombasa. There, he encountered Apostle Fred Indangasi, the then Pastor of Kings Highway Baptist Church (KHBC), who led him to Christ in August 2012. Since that day, Apostle Fred has been Pastor Nicholas’ spiritual father. After receiving Christ, Pastor Nicholas’ primary desire was to hear from God regarding his place in ministry. God was faithful, confirming this call through several visions and dreams.

In 2013, Pastor Nicholas briefly returned to Nairobi and ventured into business, starting several ventures that initially thrived but were eventually closed by August 2013. After this setback, he returned to Mombasa to continue pursuing his calling in ministry, under the mentorship and discipleship of Apostle Fred Indangasi. In 2015, he was appointed as the youth pastor at KHBC Mtwapa, a role he held until 2017. In the same year, he was sent on a three-month mission trip to Botswana, South Africa, which further prepared him for his expanding ministry across the continent.
In 2016, Pastor Nicholas joined Carlile College in Nairobi, where he pursued a Diploma in Christian Missions and graduated in 2018. That same
year, in June, he married the love of his life, Edith Owich, in a vibrant wedding at the KHBC Mtwapa sanctuary. After his theological studies, he was appointed lead pastor at KHBC Shinyalu, where he served for two years. In 2020, he returned to KHBC Mtwapa, where he now serves as a Sunday school teacher for the teen church. His wife, Edith, also plays a vital role in ministry as the chairlady of the women’s ministry and a member of the praise and worship team. In addition to his pastoral duties, Pastor Nicholas is the Director of M3 Africa, an interdenominational ministry focused on discipleship across the African continent.
Pastor Nicholas and his wife, Edith, are blessed with two beautiful children: Kelly Nicole Lusesi, aged 5, and Michael Victor Lusesi, aged 1. Together, they continue to serve the Lord with dedication and passion, impacting lives both locally and internationally
